David (Dave) Alan Baker went to be with the Lord on June 5, 2024. He started his journey surrounded by loved ones.

Dave was born in Anderson, Indiana on November 28, 1954 to John and Joan Baker (Sorg). Dave grew up in Mechanicsburg and attended Shenandoah Schools.

He married the love of his life, Brenda (Buntin) on August 28, 1976. They saw each other at a stoplight. It was love at first sight and they married 3 months later. Together they spent 47 years together and raised two daughters, Crystal and Harmony.

Dave spent his life working hard and devoting everything he was to his family. He was a truck driver, mover and worked on semi trailer refrigeration. Dave loved bird watching, piddling in his man cave garage, working on cars, listening to music and building with his hands, such as his shed he built from the ground up at his home in Little Axe, Oklahoma. He loved reading the Bible and spending time with his family and his little dog Autumn.

Dave is preceded in death by his parents John and Joan, his step-father Carl Sorg, his brother Michael Baker, father-in-law Martin Buntin, mother-in-law Ruth Buntin (Truax), brothers-in-law Martin (Marty) Buntin and Trent Truax and best friend Frank Cook.

Dave is survived by his loving wife Brenda, daughters Crystal (Erick) Grubbs, Harmony (Jeff) Baker, and Heather (Brian) Northern, son Anthony (Cathy) Baker, his sisters Patricia (Gary) Paschal and Bonnie (Pete) Linn and his Sister-in-law Denise (Gary) Parks. Dave has seven grandchildren: Molly, Isaiah, Cameron Kaylynn, Kirsten, Samantha and Jeremy. He also has three great-grandchildren: Bodhi, Liam and Clark. Dave also has several nieces and nephews.

Dave will be extremely missed by all and a memorial service in his honor will be announced at a later date.
