Donald K. Plain, Jr., 74, of Fortville passed away on Monday, April 4, 2022 at Hancock Regional Hospital. He was born on February 24, 1948 in Anderson, IN to Donald K. Plain, Sr. and Hyla (Johns) Kleyla.

He was a graduate of Mt. Vernon High School. Donnie was a carpenter and worked in construction. He was a model train and airplane enthusiast who would tinker with anything mechanical or electrical. Donnie enjoyed the railroad and doing yard work — he especially enjoyed taking his dog, A.J., for lawnmower rides.

Donnie is survived by two sons, Michael (Michele) Plain, Sr., Greg (Emily Wilson) Plain; three grandchildren, Sasha Hall, Makayla Plain, and Michael Scott Plain, Jr.; one great-granddaughter, Avery Hall; and one sister, Terrill (Paul) Nunn.

He was preceded in death by his fiance’, Rebecca Cook, and his parents.

In keeping with Donnie’s wishes, a simple cremation will take place.
