Ethan Floyd Powers-Curry, 8 ½ , of Westfield passed away unexpectedly at St. Vincent Carmel Hospital on Saturday, February 18, 2017. He was born in Noblesville on May 25, 2008 to Christian and Stephanie Curry.
Ethan was a third grade student at Smoky Row Elementary School in Carmel where his favorite subject was Science. He loved bugs, frogs and animals of all kinds. He especially loved his cats, Milo and “Pud-Pud” and his hamster, Charlie. Ethan loved exploring the outdoors with his cousins, whom he considered to be his very best friends.
He attended Sheridan First United Methodist Church in Sheridan.
Ethan is survived by his parents; his maternal grandparents Terry Powers of Westfield and Tami (Barry Chamblin) Powers of Sheridan, his paternal grandparents, James W. Curry of Kempton and Sheena Hamilton of Sheridan; and his great-grandmothers, Judy Marsischke of Westfield and Linda Powers of Henderson, KY. Many loving aunts, uncles and cousins also survive and will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandfather, Robert Marsischke, his aunt, Sheanna Webber, his uncle Travis Webber, and many others.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, February 24th at the Sheridan First United Methodist Church (207 E. 2nd Street, Sheridan, IN) with Pastor Carol Fritz officiating. Friends may call from 11:00am until the time of service. Burial will be in Veneman Cemetery in Michigantown.
To little Ethan’s family, words cannot express the comfort you are in need of at this time. My heart aches for you all and all I can offer is prayer that God lift our burden in time and grant you the grace you need to endure such a heartache as this.
