Frequently Asked Questions
Absolutely! Actually, it is not necessary for you to travel to Lapel at all — we come to you! We’re happy to meet you in the comfort of your home, regardless of where you live. We are prepared to make arrangements in whatever location you find to be most convenient for you and your family. Of course, you’re welcome to come to Lapel if you prefer. We are proud to offer a nicely decorated, comfortable arrangement conference room in our facility.
We are licensed to conduct funerals anywhere in the State of Indiana and routinely service a very large geographic area of the state.
Not with us — not even close! We have spent many years providing professional services to some of the most esteemed funeral homes in the country and are very proud of the reputation that we have earned in our industry. We are often recognized for providing prompt, excellent care to the families that we serve. It’s true that we focus on keeping our prices low, but we simply refuse to sacrifice quality or service. In fact, hospice professionals, clergy leaders and the families we serve routinely commend us for our compassionate care — we cherish those comments immensely.
Yes, we absolutely do. We have a funeral home that is fully licensed by the State of Indiana. We do not, however, use our funeral home for visitation or services. Instead, we use churches, cemetery chapels, private homes and public spaces to conduct ceremonies. We have a brick-and-mortar building which houses a very comfortable arrangement conference room, a state-of-the-art care center and our business offices. Because we do not maintain an ornate funeral chapel, we are able to keep our internal overhead costs low. This allows us to price our services extremely competitively.
We also own and operate Keller Cremation Services, which is located in Indianapolis. You can rest assured that your loved one will be treated with the utmost dignity and respect by our dedicated team of cremation professionals.
Our “church and chapel” funeral model also allows us to serve a large geographic area. You don’t have to come to the funeral home at all — we come to you!
If you are considering holding funeral services in a church, cemetery chapel or other “off site” location we are absolutely your best choice. Similarly, if you are considering a direct cremation, immediate burial or simple graveside services you should definitely contact us. If, however, you prefer to have services conducted in a traditional funeral home, we would encourage you to look elsewhere as we would likely not be the best choice for you.
Absolutely! We own and operate Family Forever Pet Cremation and offer the same level of quality care and compassion to families who have lost a pet. We have dedicated equipment for pets and treat them like we would any other family member. Call us at (317) 775-7689 at any time of the day or night if you have a need for pet services.
Funeral services can be conducted in many different venues. Often times, churches are very willing to open their doors to non-members as an outreach ministry. As a result, your family may be welcomed (and very well taken care of) in your time of need by a local church regardless of your church membership status.
If you prefer to hold services outside of a church, there are several options. One very popular alternative is a cemetery chapel. Local community centers, banquet halls, VFW Halls or American Legion Posts also commonly afford adequate space for funeral services. Funerals in the home are becoming more and more popular in some areas as well.
If you can’t immediately think of an appropriate location to hold a funeral, simply contact us. We have community partners throughout the area who are eager to help.
Absolutely! Prearranging your services is truly a gift to your family. We would be honored to meet with you to plan services in advance. We can plan as much or as little of the final arrangements as you wish. If you so desire, you can pay for your services in advance as well. Planning ahead is an excellent option for almost everyone, but it is especially helpful for those who would like to make flexible installment payments toward their final expenses.
Simply call us! We’re available to you whenever you need us – at any hour of any day.

Simply contact us at any time of the day or night and one of our professional, courteous team members will put you in touch with a licensed funeral director immediately.
