Jacquelyn E. Kelley, 64, of Anderson was called home to the Lord on November 8, 2020 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie. She was born in Noblesville on March 20, 1956 to Olland and Opal (Bragg) Kelley.
Jackie is a graduate of Anderson High School (class of 1974) and served in the Indiana Army National Guard for more than 30 years. At retirement, she was working in logistics at Stout Field in Indianapolis. Jackie was a member of the Madison Park Church of God in Anderson.
Jackie will be lovingly remembered for her giving spirit and her sense of humor (which she kept through her final moments on this earth). She was a kid at heart and was known by many as “whacky Jackie”. It was no surprise to find her sporting a crazy hat, tiara or feather boa just to make people smile. Jackie loved to talk, loved to perform – she had a beautiful singing voice – and loved to travel abroad. Above all, Jackie loved her family and treated each of her nieces and nephews as if they were her own children.
Jackie is survived by one brother, Ronnie (Donna) Kelley of Gas City; five sisters, Janice (Jerry) Mills of Anderson, Judy Aldridge of Ocala, FL, Joyce (Gary) Bennett of Dunkirk; June (Paul) Braden of Chesterfield and Jane Crouch of Pendleton. Jackie’s 16-year-old cat, Gypsi, also survives.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Opal & Olland Kelley; one sister, Juanita Reichenbach; a niece, Nichole Reichenbach; two great nephews, Mason Kelley & Anden Kelley; and four brothers-in-law.
The family would like to thank the nurses, doctors and staff at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Anderson and IU Health Ball Memorial in Muncie for taking care of Jackie.
My loving and giving sister Jackie is in Gods presence now and in Jesus Christ loving arms.
No more pain, No more heartaches. Those we love don’t go away they walk beside us evryday. Unseen, Unheard, but always near, so loved, so missed so very dear.
Forever in are hearts, Love you so much
My dear sis I know you are singing joy in Heaven with our Lord. Our Family Chain is broken and nothing seems the same but as God calls us one by one the chain will link again. Although you are missed and our lives will never be the same. You will never be forgotten.
I will always remember Aunt Jackie as the fun loving person she was,and I miss her greatly, but am happy she has been healed in heaven.
Loved Jackie. She was a spirited woman and was always smiling. Knew her for many years starting at McD’s. You are now free from pain. You are now with God.
I have fun memories of Aunt Jackie. I remember being amazed as a child watching her decorate cakes.
