Janice Marie Arnold Davis

February 4, 1945 – July 18, 2025

Janice “Jan” Davis peacefully passed away on July 18, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. A devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, she brought warmth, style, and a spirited zest for life to every room she entered.

Jan’s love for her family and grandchildren was the cornerstone of her life. She never missed a birthday or anniversary card, always made everyone feel special, and filled her home with photographs of her cherished ones. Her unwavering devotion to her family spanned four generations, each one touched by her steadfast love and attention to detail. She is survived by her husband of 24 years, David Davis.

Jan’s passions were as vibrant as her personality. She was a devoted fan of Notre Dame football, the Indianapolis Colts, and in recent seasons cheered
passionately for Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. Her love of music echoed the golden era of rock and roll—she could quote every lyric from The
Beatles, Elvis, Paul McCartney, John Lennon, and Rod Stewart.

At one point in time, Jan avidly enjoyed Harley-Davidson motorcycles. Alongside her best friend Shara Dougherty they were once featured in a Harley-Davidson
magazine article, their smiles radiant under the South Dakota sunshine.

Quirky and impeccably stylish, Jan was always perfectly dressed and made up. Her warmth drew others in, and her home overflowed with portraits of family and friends—proof of her belief that those we love are never far from our hearts.

Though we grieve her passing, Jan’s life has drawn us back together in celebration of her spirit. We find comfort in knowing she now resides so perfectly
with her loved ones, including her beloved “Kato,” in Heaven, embraced by Christ and reunited with those who went before her.
