Vector illustration of beautiful shiny white dove flying way up in a blue skyJoy W. Bradshaw, 84, of Noblesville passed away on April 26, 2015 at Riverview Hospital. She was born on May 12, 1930 in Evanston, IL to the late Randall and Rosemary (Whiteman) Wescott.

Joy was a homemaker who focused on raising her family. She loved gardening and actively participated in many flower and gardening clubs. She enjoyed painting and reading, but would always join her friends in a game of bridge or a round of golf.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Charles Wescott who perished in the Battle of the Bulge in World War II.

Joy is survived by her son, Steven (Barbara) Bridges of Noblesville, IN; two daughters, Laura Bridges of Dallas, TX and Jody (Tom) Schmith of Carmel, IN; six grandchildren, Beth, Andy, Christopher, Cayla, Gabriel, Renee and Jamie; and eight great-grandchildren.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Riverwalk Commons, Riverview Hospital and Heartland Hospice (especially her nurse, Tammy) for the kindness and caring they showed in Joy’s final hours.

A Memorial Mass will be conducted at Noon on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 9900 E 191st St in Noblesville, IN.  A light lunch will follow.
