It is with great sadness that the family of Katherine Jane Holle announces her passing on April 10, 2025. Katie was preceded in death by her parents, George Garel Holle and Merle Yvonne (Lawler) Holle. She is survived by her brother, Glenn Frederick Holle; and includes many nephews, nieces, great and great-grand niblings.
Katie was a life-long Hoosier, born in Indianapolis, Indiana on October 7, 1940. She graduated class of 1958 from Arsenal Technical High School after which she studied at Wellesley College ultimately graduating with a Bachelor degree in Anthropology from Indiana University (Bloomington) in 1969. She worked for Indiana Bell Telephone Company from 1961 to 1994.
Katie Jane will be remembered for her sense of humor; joy of camping across the USA and Canada; pleasure of reading and listening to music; and enjoyment of international travel. Her life was filled with diverse friends and family that she loved and cherished.
Katie Jane Holle has donated her body to the Indiana University School of Medicine. No formal funeral service is planned. Quote from Dr. Seuss, “Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.”
