Kathryn Ann McCorkle, 81, of Middletown, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, on August 18, 2026. She was born in Anderson, Indiana, on December 23, 1944, to Shirley and Virginia (Knapp) Fox.

Kathryn was a devoted homemaker whose family was always at the center of her life. She attended White Union Christian Church and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for more than 30 years.

Whether it was a horse, cat, dog she treated them with kindness and respect. Her beloved dog Buddy held a very special place in her heart. Buddy, who was rarely far from her side, could often be found riding along with Kathryn on the lawn tractor.

Kathryn is survived by her loving husband, Robert McCorkle; three children, Chris (Bud) Wright of Middletown, Angie (Jeff) Dick of Middletown, and Hank (Katelyn) McCorkle of Middletown; seven grandchildren, Ashley (Scott Counceller) Wright of Middletown, Cory (Savannah Howard) Wright of Middletown, Jessica Vance of Middletown, Chase (Taylor) McCorkle of Middletown, RaeAnn (Celso Guido) McCorkle of Lebanon, Gracie McCorkle of Middletown, and Gabbie McCorkle of Middletown; and three great-grandchildren, Ivan, Lio, and Lakoda.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Shirley Ruth Kerschner; her brother, David Fox; her horse, Patches; and her beloved dog, Buddy.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at Miller Cemetery in Middletown, with Pastor Gordon Barrett officiating.
