Mary Ann (Cummings) Roark, 79, of Centerville, passed away on September 16, 2026, at Ambassador Healthcare in Centerville following an extended illness. She was born on November 7, 1946, in Glasgow, Kentucky, the daughter of James and Ruth (Edmonson) Cummings.
Mary worked for seven years at First National Bank of Richmond before choosing to stay home and devote herself to raising her family. Family was at the center of Mary’s life, and she took great pride in creating a warm and welcoming home for those she loved.
She enjoyed decorating her home for every holiday and looked forward to working in her garden during the summer months, especially tending to her flowers. For many years, Mary hosted family holiday meals and could often be found in the kitchen baking cookies and preparing for the people she loved most. The traditions she created and the care she put into her home and family will be remembered fondly by those who knew her.
Mary is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Reed Roark; three sons, Jeff Roark of Centerville, John (Kevin) Roark of Huber Heights, Ohio, and James (Krystal) Roark of New Richmond; her sister, Nancy Jeffers of Richmond; two grandchildren, Natalie and Dexter; and her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Ruth Cummings, and her brother-in-law, Paul Jeffers.
