Norma PresnellNorma Jean (Kilgore) Presnell, 72, of Indianapolis was called to her eternal home on Friday, January 1, 2016 while surrounded by her family. She was born on December 2, 1943 in Indianapolis to Frederick Herman and Eathel Irene (Houston) Kilgore.

Norma, a lifelong resident of Indianapolis, graduated from Emmerich Manual High School in 1961. She began a rewarding career at Merchant’s National Bank where she was an expert in operations, and clearly considered her customers to be like family. Norma was a selfless servant who routinely made sacrifices so others around her would have a better life. She had a caring spirit that she routinely shared with her customers, close friends, and family members. She loved spending time with her sisters, sons, and their families. Norma thoroughly enjoyed relaxing in front of the television where she loved watching the news, reality television and crime solving shows.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Coy DeWayne Presnell; two sons, Reid (Angie) Presnell of Indianapolis and Brad (Jeanine) Presnell of Louisville, KY; two sisters, Dorothea Ann Nicholas of Indianapolis and Karen (Gary) Fulk of Indianapolis; and five grandchildren, Logan Presnell, Austin Presnell, Mason Presnell, Emma Presnell, and Jenna L. Presnell. Norma’s close friend, Judy Thomas also survives as do special family friends, Nancy, Deedra and Hannah Duncan.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Frederica Stephens and her twin brothers, Donnie Kilgore and Ronnie Kilgore.

A celebration of Norma’s life will be held at Indian Creek Christian Church (6430 S. Franklin Road, Indianapolis) on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 from 4:00-7:00pm. A Memorial Service will immediately follow with Eric Denney officiating.
