Patricia Joan “Trish” (Shinn) Smith (aka “P.J.”), 58, of Camby, IN passed away too soon on December 24, 2024. She was born on April 19, 1966 in Clinton, Indiana and grew up on the westside of Indianapolis.
Trish battled Crohn’s Disease from the age of 19; This led to her being weeks away from getting liver and kidney transplants that never came.
Trish had a passion for cooking, gardening and was a carpenter around her house. She loved her dogs, Lewis and Clark! Trish had a kind soul with a heart of gold.
Trish retired from the State of Indiana,“Department of Revenue – Motor Carrier Services”. She was a supervisor for 36+ years and excelled at her job!
She is preceded in death by her husband, Steven Smith, Sr.; one son, Michael Smith; and her parents, John Oliver Shinn, Sr. and Cecelia Diane (Downey) Shinn.
Trish is survived by one son, Steven Smith, Jr.; and her siblings, Linda Shinn Poore, John Shinn, Jr., and Patti (Terry) Shinn.
She will be missed beyond words. Her spirit will live on in our hearts forever!
A Beautiful Soul gone too soon! To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Trish was such a great Sista friend and I miss her so much!
