Jerry R. Schmollinger, 81, of Fortville passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at IU Methodist Hospital following an extended illness. He was born in Anderson on May 15, 1936 and was the son of William and Gladys (Davis) Schmollinger.

Mr. Schmollinger grew up in Hamilton County and spent most of his life there. He spent may years working in the foundry for Noblesville Casting and then later at Iris Rubber Company. When not at work, Jerry could be found working on cars in his garage. He was a talented mechanic and would always have a project in the works. To relax, Jerry absolutely loved to fish for bass and crappie. His close friends and family will always cherish the memories of fishing with him in many area lakes and ponds.

Mr. Schmollinger is survived by three daughters, Penelope (James) Jamison of Colorado, Debrah (Marion) Jones of Indianapolis and Kelly Crockett of Fortville; one son, Tim (Norea) Schmollinger of Colorado; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Jerri Lynn Schmollinger; his wives Sandra Kay Schmollinger and Jullianna Schmollinger; and his dearest special friends, Ruby Ann Renforth and Betty Turner.

A graveside service will be conducted on Friday, April 27th at 2:00pm at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
